The Bali Bulldogs made a panicky start to this game, taking well into halfway through the first half to settle and find their rhythm. But as they found their feet, on this very difficult pitch to play any kind of football, the Bulldogs looked more and more confident going forward in the attack.

Jacopo has been in Bali for a number of years and has a wealth of experience in football from both his time here and back home in Italy.

The Bali Bulldogs are now in their mid-year break for 2008.

As most people now know, Kenny Latham will no longer be coach for the Bali Bulldogs Senior team. A new setup will be devised and any input from all players is much appreciated. In the meantime collectively we should be able to work together to ensure that match days are a success for all concerned.

2008 Bali Sixes // Fri, 30 May 08

The Bali Bulldogs secured an emphatic victory at the 2008 Bali Sixes tournament which took place at the Canggu club last Saturday. With two teams entered, veterans and seniors, the Bali Bulldogs knew they stood a good chance of one team progressing far in the tournament competing against teams from Jakarta, Surabaya, Sumbawa, Perth and Bali.

The underdogs Craftnetwork.com sponsored Bali Bulldogs FC defeated the highly rated Canggu Allstars in the final of the International Soccer Sixes held at the Canggu Club on the 17th May.

With a score of 2-0 the Bulldogs stuck to their task ,whilst the Canggu team focused more on passions rather than the game.

After a season of unfortunate results, the Bali Bulldogs finally got their first win of the 2008 season playing in their changed yellow strip.

An early scare saw the referee award the home team a penalty in the first five minutes after it was adjudged that there was a handball in the box, which fortunately Sebang failed to convert.

The Bali Bulldogs worst run of results continued last week, albeit unfortunately, after a spirited display against FC Mucky Duck in the centre of Ubud on a pitch that in areas that was more similar to concrete than a playing surface.

The Bali Bulldogs laid siege to the opponent’s goal throughout the course of the game but could not find themselves the elusive goal, with some not so clinical finishing, that would have brought them back into the match after Mucky Duck taking the lead in the early moments of the match.

Bali Bulldogs 1 v FC Peninsula 2 // Thu, 20 Mar 08

The Bulldogs are still looking for there first win of the year to the delight of Jimmy Mac after a spirited performance against FC Peninsula.

Having to mix things up within the team, with a number of personnel missing at the time of kick off, saw unfamiliarity to new positions lead to two early goals in the game by the away side, the second of which was no doubt avoidable. But to the teams credit, each player kept their heads up and were able to string together significant amount of good football as they continued to strive for goals to get back in the game.
