First time out of Bali,
First time on a plane,
a group of ten 13 year old boys from around KlungKung,in East Bali on April 8 embarked on a trip of a lifetime.
Bali Sports Foundation, in their first overseas tour took the young Balinese soccer players to the SCC Soccer Sixes,competing against another 23 teams from Singapore,Malaysia,Bangladesh,Thailand as well as expat juniors in Singapore,the Bali team performed above expectations finishing in the top half of the competition.
Sport was only part of the experience,billeted with local families,the boys experienced Singapore from a local perspective as well as seeing firsthand how clean environment improves ones quality of life.
The boys are now part of Bali Sports Foundation “ambassador’s program” to teach their friends about the value of keeping their own banjar clean.
