Dear All,
In a weekend of sport that saw the Grand Final of the Guinness 9 Ball championship at Grand Hyatt Bali,International Motorcross in Gianyar,the start of Kuta Karnival and the Royal Bali Yacht club regattas of Sanur.In other news the cricket semi final between Geckos and Metro was postponed until this week.
In Rugby quite a bit of activity as we approach the RWC kick off,from RWC tickets,Indovision TV program,final team list for the Thiess Bali 10's and report from Balisportsmag's roving rugby reporter Jean Luc from the Fatboy 10's in Manila.

400 Athletes Involved // Wed, 05 Sep 07
The tabloid Daily News Denpasar, is organizing the Badminton championship, with the title “ DEN POST CUPS” at GOR Yuwana Mandala, Tembau, Denpasar. The championship will involve 400 players, it will be done on 6-9 September. Steering Committee, Ida Bagus Wibawa said on Monday (3/9), whilst this championship will involve students in Bali, ,but instead of schools, most of them will be representing their clubs, such as PB Pancawati, Tunas Mekar, Dharma Praja, Mandala, Dewata, Cahaya, Tunas Muda, Ubud, Menang Kalah Sehat (MKS), and delegation from each Pengcab PBSI overall Bali.

Popular nurse Mel Pacquda is completeing her one year contract at Sanglah Hospital and returning to Melbourne.Part of an Australian aid program to improve the nurseing standards at Bali’s main hospital in particular the burns unit,Mel has been active in the sports scene in Bali during her stay,being part of the Sanur Mixed touch rugby team recently winning the the Sanur Rugby Fest (in which Mel broke her nose) playing in the Bali netball team as well as riding,canoeing and running along the Sanur coast. We we wish her well in the future.

Qualification will be held until Tuesday (4/9), and the Final will be done on 6-7 September. The winner of this final directly will play in Jakarta on 8 September 2007.

2 September 2007, Bali: Chinese Taipei’s Chang Jung-Lin proved to be too much for the Philippines’ National Champion Lee Vann Corteza in the Guinness 9 Ball Tour Grand Final held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Bali, clinching the title as the Tour’s first ever Grand Champion with a 11-8 win and pocketing the top prize of US$36,000 as Asia’s Pool King of 2007.

The Fourth Inaugural, International Invitational Fat Boys Tens Tournament was held in Angeles City, Philippines on 1 September 2007. It was hosted at the Clark Air Base which was an old US military air base which is now being used by the Philippines Air Force for their trainees. The location also serves as an airport for Tiger Airways, Asiana Airlines and Air Asia which utilizes the airport for a couple of destinations.

International Indonesia Super Cross Championship // Wed, 05 Sep 07

27 year old Australian Troy Carrol won the Bali round of Indonesia Super Cross 2007 held in Tulikup village, Gianyar that finished on Sunday (2/9). The Queensland born motocrosser, finished first beating the motocrossers from Thailand, Thanard Petan (2nd place), and Aep Dadang, the motocrosser from Indonesia (3rd place).
