Dear All,
In our second edition of this week,
We continue with the Asian Beach Games,notable for the 1000’s of banners around Bali.
And just as you thought there was enough going on in Bali at the moment,we now have the IPSC World Shoot with 100’s of shooters,starting this weekend at Serengan (Turtle) Island Rifle Range,something about October in Bali.
This weekend the Bali Soccer League starts at Canggu,and in AFL the Bali Geckos have their Bali Nines AFL tournament next weekend,
And in a new development Balisportsmag opens its online store for DVD’s of sporting events we cover.

Indonesian pencak silat team produced a clean sweep in the artistic event at the Asian Beach Games here Wednesday, winning the two gold medals at stake.
Ni Luh Putu Spyanawati scored 454 points to grab the women’s gold, before the pair Hamdani and M. Yusuf Effendi finished first in the men’s team
competition.

Spotlight on Bali’s favourite son and frequent subject in Balisportsmag,Oka Sulaksana.
IGusti Made Oka Sulaksana, a 37-year-old windsurfer, is still the backbone of Indonesia’s team, but he would not be playing at the Asian Beach Games had he gone ahead with his retirement plan.

Next week we have the Bali Nines, a modified form of Australian Rules Football with 9 players instead of 18 to be able to use existing soccer fields prevalent in Asia,at Canggu Club.
Teams participating are– Bali Geckos, Jakarta Bintangs, Timor Leste Crocs, Borneo Bears.
