Dear All,
Welcome to the newest edition of Balisportsmag,bringing the Island of the God’s sports to you.
Looking ahead this weekend we have the 4th Edition of HOTAIR! Bali’ only Kitesurf competition started back in 2006 by Stiff Chilli.
After which we have the Royal Bali Yacht Club’s Annual Regatta
Further ahead we have the Sanur Beach Games held at the Sanur Village Festival in August,including the Quadrathon,Bali’s Strongest Man and the Asian Beach Rugby Cup
Even further ahead we have Bali Rugby 10’s,with new addition of Women’s Rugby 7’s.
Looking back we review the Bali Bulldogs Annual Dinner,The Bali Flames latest netball match,the Bali Geckos Master 9’s ,the 2009 Bali Triathlon.
And in an interesting development the Bali Sport Peace & Development Foundation has signed joint venture agreement with the Kuta Community
for the management of one of their sports fields.
One of our readers describes what was hailed as the 2009 Indonesian Rugby AGM and this week’s video is highlights of the Stiff Chilli Soccer Sixes held recently in Bali.

The Royal Bali Yacht Club is organizing a regatta on August 8+9 of this year. Start and finish will be the beach in front of Mercure Hotel were our clubhouse is located. Contestants will be : Surfers, Jukung, Optimist , Lasers and Catamarans. Everybody owning a vessel is welcome to participate.

Yayasan Damai OlahRaga Bali and the Kuta Community sign a joint venture for the management of Gelora Samudra in Kuta,Witnessed by the local sporting community including KONI.
The field was previously managed by the Balinese soccer team PERSEKABA which has unfortunately gone bankrupt and its license sold to Papua.

Bali Flames 30 – North Sydney 29
Bali 5 July
Just want to say a big congratulations to the Flames for winning the match against the team from North Sydney, 30-29. It was an especially good result considering their squad had 15 people in it and they kept bringing on fresh teams each quarter, while we struggled to even get a full side together! In the end, we had 4 Flames members and another 3 visiting friends who kindly helped us out. It was a really fun, social match and the umpires (supplied by them) were great - hopefully they can join our next tournie!
Thank you for a great effort to Natalie, Bree and Carmel, and to Krystal for coming along to support us and officiate as scorer!

This year the Sanur Village Festival moves to a new location at Pantai Mertasari,home of the 2008 Bali Asian Beach Games.
As a result,the Sanur Sports Festival becomes the Sanur Beach Games with the following events from 12-16 August.
