Dear All,
As we wind down towards the end of 2009,so does the sports in Bali.
Of notable exception has been the Asian Archer Championships,the Commonwealth Tennis Classic
Once again showing Bali can host major sporting events.
In honour of the week of traditional sports in Denpasar,
this month’s video is on Merpantigan another traditional Balinese sport.

It wasn’t the way the week in Bali, and such a potentially great final, was supposed to end, but Aravane Rezai became the first winner of the Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions when Marion Bartoli retired after losing the opening set 7-5.

19 November 2009, Kuta-Bali: The 2009 Coca-Cola ISC Tour capped off its best season ever with a year-end Awards Presentation Night at the Discovery Kartika Hotel Ballroom in Kuta on Saturday night November 14th, crowning Indonesia’s new surfing champions in 6 divisions, and recognizing the contributions of its sponsors and supporters while providing food and drink for the hundreds of surf industry and media invitees, and finishing it off by rocking out with the live band Pandora.

Archery SEA Games squad member Gusti Nyoman Puruhito, had to settle for the silver medal in the premier event the compound bow of the 2009 Asian Archery Championships held in the Niti Mandala Renon Square, Saturday (21/11). In the final, athlete from Bojonegoro, East Java, had to submit to the strength of IR Sanam (India).
