International sporting celebrities will next month present awards to Bali’s Sportsman and Sportswoman Of The Year at what promises to be the biggest night on the island’s sporting calendar, the first annual Bali Sports Gala.
Personalities from Olympic and World swimming champion Michael Klim to captain of Australian Rules football club Hawthorne, Richard Vandenberg, and Australian netball star Natasha Chokljat will take part in the event, scheduled for December 1. Justin ‘Sambo’ Sampson, Asia’s resident rugby expert from ESPN Star Sports in Singapore and coach of the Indonesian Rugby team, will be MC.

A new full-colour illustrated Children’s Book, “Penyu dan Lumba-lumba” (“Turtle and Dolphin”), which is due to be launched next month. Its been specially designed to introduce the concept of environmental responsibility, with a focus on making Bali’s beaches free from the plastic waste that is such a major problem for us all. It is a lively and amusing story about the misadventures of three friends, Turtle, Dolphin and Seagull, as they discuss the problems caused by plastic waste, and what to do about it. The story is written simply, and is presented in three languages, Balinese, Indonesian and English, so it can also be used as a language tool for children.
